To serve our visistors better, we are preparing a site makeover, which should be in place very soon (around the end of April). The call center and answering service pages have been redesigned. The pages related to other Stenocall divisions will be retained essentially as-is, but with a new Web address (URL) of stenocallinc.com.

Our transition plan is designed to incur little or no downtime. However the URL change will particularly affect visitors who save bookmarks to stenocall.com.

Briefly, what is now stenocall.com will become stenocallinc.com, and stenocall.com will then be pointing to what is now stenocall-call-center.com.

Due to special transitional measures, many bookmarks to individual pages will keep working. However, visitors looking for divisions other than the call center and answering service may want to change home-page bookmarks from stenocall.com to stenocallinc.com, to save an extra click. (These bookmarks can be changed now.)

Here are the details. We actually have two sites: the "corporate" site and the call center site. The corporate site contains links to all divisions, including the call center site.

Before the transition, the corporate site can be reached by any of these names:

• stenocall.com
• stenocallinc.com
• lubbock-radio-paging.com
• lubbockradiopaging.com
• lubbockradiopagingservice.com

And the call center site can be reached by these names:

• stenocall-call-center.com
• stenocallcallcenter.com

After the transition, only one of these names will act differently: stenocall.com will now take you to the updated call center site, which will become the new "base" site for Stenocall. This reflects the increasing importance and expansion of our call center business, relative to our other divisions.

The improved site contains updated and new content for the call center and answering service. The older site will keep all its other names, but will primarily be known as stenocallinc.com.

On the updated site, there will be an "Other Services" button that takes you to stenocallinc.com. The stenocallinc.com site will not change immediately, but it may get its own update in the future.

All the other site names will remain the same:

• the paging server (lrps.com)
• the secure account login / online bill pay (acct.stenocall.com)
• the Web On Call / answering service messaging (messg.stenocall.com)
• the FTP server (ftp.stenocall.com)
• the secure download site (secure.stenocall.com)
• and other sites named something like xxxxx.stenocall.com

If you have bookmarks to individual pages, those should generally still take you to the same page, or at least that page's replacement in the new site. (This is not guaranteed to be permanent, so you should change bookmarks when you get a chance.) Mainly, only bookmarks that go to the home page of stenocall.com will need to be changed, if you want them to go directly to stenocallinc.com. Otherwise you'll need one extra click (on the "Other Services" button) to get back to that same page.

Since stenocallinc.com is already working, you can change bookmarks now.
